System of a Down are Serj Tankian(vocal and keyboards), Daron Malakian(backing vocal and guitar, Shavo Odadijan(bass) and John Dolmayan(drums).
All the members were born in Glendale,CA and are descendents of Armenics.
System of the Down is a band of Heavy Metal that started in 1997.The band is known by its criticizes the government, as musics Byob and Soldier Side
The Golden years:
They first album was System of a Down, launched in 1998. After they lauched toxicity(2002), they career really took off!They were known by the whole world and they had started shows for 4 years followed.After this, they lauched Hypinotyze, Mesmerize and Steal this Abum.
In 2006, they won the Grammy with the incredible song "lonely Day".
They entered in hiatus in 2006 for indeterminate time,but this doesn't mean that the band finished. in tehy last concert, Daron says" there are rumors that say the System of a Down goes to finish.Don't believe in it! We are and we will always be the System of a Down! "
