Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson is best known by for stage name Katy Perry. She was born in Santa Barbara, California, on October 25, 1984.

Perry grew up listening to only gospel music and sang in church as a child. Her career took off after signing a contract Capitol Music group in 2007, releasing her first album "One of the Boys”.

Katy Perry has had famous singles in her album like: I kissed a Girl, Ur so gay, and Hot N Cold.

In 2009, she had released an MTV unplugged with the singles ok One of the Boys; carried on with her carried with 3OH!3 in the remix song "Startrukk" and with Timbaland in " If we Ever Meet Again ".

With her daring style, Katy Perry's attention was captured by Madonna and Miley Cyrus to create contrasts that convey the image of innocent and demonstrate a humorous and outgoing personality.

Currently, the singer has followed up with her next (second) album, Teenage Dream and is scheduled to be released in august 2010.
